What is an EICR?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a formal inspection of a property's fixed wiring, fuse board and circuits. Private landlords in England must arrange inspection and testing at least every five years, or sooner if the previous report specifies a shorter interval.

C1 means danger is present and urgent action is required. C2 means potentially dangerous, C3 recommends an improvement, and FI means further investigation is needed. A report with a C1, C2 or FI observation is unsatisfactory.
